EKO HOT BLOG reports that a prominent political leader in Lagos state and a prominent member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) in Lagos, Professor Tunde Samuel is dead.

He was a former Special Adviser on Education to former Governor Bola Tinubu.

It was learnt that Prof. Samuel died on Wednesday night.
He was 73.
Mourning him, Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, described Prof. Samuel as a titan whose positive roles in Lagos cannot be forgotten in a hurry.
He died just three months after he celebrated another birthday.
He died on the evening of Wednesday, 16 February, 2022.
Professor Samuel was the pioneer Provost of the Lagos State College of Primary Education which has just been upgraded to the Lagos State University of Education.
He has, in November, 2021, celebrated a birthday amidst commendations by Lagos politicians.

“Indeed you have proven yourself as a bulwark of democracy, a quintessential leader, a true servant of the people, a role model, particularly to all young progressive politicians in Lagos State and in Nigeria at large.
“Through clear actions and deeds, you have unambiguously demonstrated high values and contributed immensely to the development/stability of our noble party and Lagos State”, the Lagos State Executive Council extols the classic diehard progressive leader.
