Breaking: Lagos Panel Hands Over Lekki Toll Gate To LCC

Four months after the Lekki Toll Gate plaza was shut down following the #EndSars protest, the Lekki Concession Company has assumed back the ownership.
The Lagos State Judicial Panel of Enquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS related abuses and other matters returned control of the Lekki Toll Gate plaza to its owners, the Lekki Concession Company (LCC).
This follows a decision that was taken on Saturday, February 6, during the panel sitting in Lagos.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed, had told Amnesty International (AI) to show proof of the 12 people reportedly killed during the shooting at the Lekki toll gate or keep “”shut up”” for life.
Amnesty International while reacting issued a statement alleging that the Nigerian authorities have resorted to intimidating demonstrators and covering up the incident instead of ensuring justice for those killed.

The international agency also demanded officials’ suspension indicted in the alleged shooting of #EndSARS protesters at Lekki, Lagos state.
However, Lia Mohammed accused AI of double standards in its reaction to issues happening in Nigeria and other countries.
