BREAKING: Lagos Police Arraign Funke Akindele In Court Today
All prosecutorial arrangements have been concluded to charge Funke Akindele to court for violating the Lagos State Government Directive on public gatherings.
The Lagos state police command has reportedly arraigned Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele today for flouting the orders of the government on social gathering amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Recall the Nollywood and the award-winning actress held a birthday party in honour of her husband on Saturday and posted it on social media.

The irresponsible act according to some members of the public is a violation of the order on the social gathering.
Ekohotblog reports that the action elicited angry reactions from thousands of Nigerians. Some were calling for her arrest and the cancellation of the sponsorship contract and their prayers and wishes were granted.
Funke was arrested yesterday. Some of the sponsors are beginning to distance themselves from Funke, canceling the contractual relationships.
The court proceedings is currently ongoing.
The prosecuting team will be from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
