The Lagos State Government has ordered Worship centres in the state to remain closed until further notice.
The State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu made this known on Friday during a briefing at Alausa Ikeja.
Sanwo-Olu added that the restriction on mass gathering remains in effect until further notice.
In the same vein, all social and events centres, social clubs, and bars in the state are also to remain closed.
Governor Sanwo-Olu warned that law enforcement agents have been directed to arrest and charge those who have not been donning face masks to court but clarified that a lone occupant of a vehicle is not at risk of infecting anyone, and law enforcement agents should not be overzealous in enforcing the rule.
He restated that the government would continue to conduct free Covid-19 tests while accredited laboratories would be attending to those who need COVID19 compliance certificate at a fee and also warned that any unaccredited laboratory conducting Covid-19 tests would be sanctioned.
On the reopening of the local airport, the Governor assured that his administration would continue to work with the relevant authorities to ensure all safety protocols.
Governor Sanwo-Olu appealed to residents to continue to abide by all the advisories, as the fight against COVID19 is still far from being won in Lagos.
