EKO HOT BLOG reports that Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has said that the National Assembly Complex is overdue for rehabilitation.
Lawan made this known on Wednesday following a point of order moved by the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi.

Abdullahi, at the plenary on Wednesday, complained that some media reports about the leakage and flooding of the National Assembly Complex, due to a heavy downpour on Tuesday, were full of inaccuracies, adding that the widely-circulated reports impugned the integrity of lawmakers.
EKO HOT BLOG had reported that a mild drama ensued at the National Assembly on Tuesday as the Complex began to leak profusely following a heavy downpour in Abuja.
It was gathered that the most affected area was the foyer of the National Assembly.
It was learnt that cleaners in the National Assembly were immediately deployed to place containers at the leaking spots to collect the flowing water into buckets.
