Senate President Ahmad Lawan on Tuesday, December 15 swore in four senators recently elected through by-elections in states across the country.
The new Senators are Senator Adetokunbo Abiru (Lagos East), Senator Cleopas Moses (Bayelsa Central), Senator Henry Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa West), and Senator Nora Ladi Dadu’ut (Plateau South).

The Clerk to the Senate, Ibrahim El-Ladan, administered the Oath of Office and Oath of Allegiance on the new Senators.
With the swearing-in, the number of All Progressives Congress(APC) Senators total 63 while People’s Democratic Party (PDP) now has 45 Senators.
Senator Abiru replaced late Adebayo Osinowo, while Senator Cleopas is replacing Senator Diri Douye; Senator Seriake on the other hand replaced Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and Dadu’t is replacing late Ignatius Longjan.
