Nollywood Actor, Oreoluwa Jokotoye announced his death via his Instagram page.
Jokotoye wrote:
” Thank you sir for giving us ARELU, YONPON YANRIN and others. Rest in peace our legend, Pa Jimoh Aliu”.
The thespian died at the age of 85 at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, the state capital after battling with a brief illness.
Before his death, Pa Jimoh Aliu produced the famous Yoruba movie, “ARELU”.
He also starred in YONPON YANRIN amongst others.
He was a former President of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP).
His death is coming few hours after the death of veteran Nollywood actress, Louisa Nwobodo was announced.
She was rushed to the hospital where she died aged 78.
Prior to her death, she featured in hit movies like Johnbull and RoseKate and had carved a name for herself in the industry.
The Nollywood industry has lost four of its own within a week; Baba Legba, Dolapo Adewale, Louisa Nwobodo and Pa Jimoh Aliu.
