[BREAKING] Missing Ondo Church Boy: Court Frees Prophet Sotitobire, Quashes Life Sentence

• Court has freed prophet Sotitobire and quashed life sentence.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Court of Appeal sitting in Akure has freed the founder of Sotitobire Praising Chapel, Prophet Babatunde Alfa, who was sentenced to life imprisonment by an Ondo State High Court.

Prophet Alfa was jailed last year over the mysterious disappearance of a 13-month child, Gold Kolawole from his church.

Gold, who has not been seen till date, was brought to the church service by his parents but was never seen again.

Prophet Alfa church was subsequently razed down by a mob.

The Sotitobire founder had asked the appeal court to set aside his life sentence conviction by the court.

The court ruled that the circumstantial evidence the High Court relied was not enough to convict him.

Justice Gamma Barka, who read the judgment on behalf of other judges, subsequently discharged and acquitted Alfa.
