Breaking News: Parallel LG Congresses Holds in Osun APC

• Aregbesola, Oyetola group holds separate congresses in some local government.

EkohotBlog reports that some me mbers of the All Progressives Congress on Saturday held a parallel congress in some local governments in the Osun State.

It was discovered that The Osun Progressive (TOP), a caucus group that has the backing of Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola in Osogbo and Ife Local Government areas held a separate congress away from the APC in the state.

Members of the APC caucus group held their congress at Ola-Oni Centre, Aregbe Area, Osogbo, in the same vein those who belong to the IleriOluwa group held their congress at the Osogbo Federal Constituency Office, Ladsol area of the State capital.

Also in Ife East Local Government, elections were held on Saturday.

It was gathered by our platform that a consensus agreement was not attained during the stakeholders meeting in the local government.

Congress held and winners were subsequently declared.

Recall that Osun APC had earlier stated that parallel congress, not allowed in Osun.
