Plateau state has joined the growing list of states battling with the COVID-19 pandemic, this is as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control disclosed that the country has confirmed 108 cases of the virulent infection.
The agency made the disclosure in its daily situation report of COVID-19 on its official twitter page on Thursday.
According to the agency, of the 108 case, 78 are confirmed in Lagos, 14 in Abuja, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Gombe, 3 Borno, 2 in Akwa Ibom and 1 in Kwara and plateau which recorded its first case.
This new development brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 981, just 19 cases shy of 1000.
Conversely, 197 of the 981 confirmed cases have been discharged with 31 deaths recorded.
