BREAKING: Nigeria Records 562 New COVID-19 Cases
-The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nigeria hits 37,225
-The confirmed coronavirus death toll in Nigeria exceeded 800 on Monday.
-NCDC activates a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC) at Level 3.
The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nigeria hits 37,225 as the country records 562 new confirmed cases on July 20, 2020.
The country also registered another 12 deaths, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 801.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced this while giving the daily Covid-19 updates via its official Twitter account.
According to the report, the new 562 cases were reported from 21 states with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) leading the toll with 102 cases, followed by Lagos with 100 cases.

NCDC tweet read, “On the 20th of July 2020, 562 new confirmed cases and 12 deaths were recorded in Nigeria”
“Till date, 37225 cases have been confirmed, 15333 cases have been discharged and 801 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory
“The 562 new cases are reported from 21 states- FCT (102), Lagos (100), Plateau (52), Kwara (50), Abia (47), Kaduna(35), Benue (34), Oyo (26), Ebonyi (24), Kano (16), Niger (15), Anambra (14), Gombe (12), Edo (11), Rivers (6), Nasarawa (5), Delta (5), Borno (3), Enugu (2), Bauchi (2), Kebbi (1).
NCDC also noted that the multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC) at Level 3 will continue to coordinate the national response activity in the country.
