BREAKING: Nigerian Govt Issues Travel Alert To Citizens Travelling To UK

The Federal Government of Nigeria has issued a travel alert to its citizens planning to travel to the United Kingdom.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Amb. Eche Abu-Obe issued the alert in a statement on Monday.

England is said to have been experiencing an eruption of anti-immigrant and far-right violence, towns and cities have been overtaken by mobs of often masked men chanting anti-immigrant slogans, attacking hotels housing asylum seekers and mosques, clashing with police and causing widespread destruction.

Recall that the United Kingdom, UK, Prime Minister Keir Starmer issued a stark warning to racist far-right thugs rioting in British towns and cities with a “guarantee” they will face swift justice and “the full force of the law”.

In an uncompromising statement to the nation, the prime minister told those behind the appalling scenes in Hull, Halifax, Liverpool, London, Southport and Rotherham: “I guarantee, you will regret it”. More than 100 people have been arrested following the violent disturbances on Saturday.

The travel alert issued by the foreign affairs ministry reads partly, “There is an increased risk of violence and disorder occasioned by the recent riots in the UK, stemming from the killing of 3 young girls at a concert.

“The violence has assumed dangerous proportions as evidenced by reported attacks on Law enforcement agents and damage to infrastructure. To this end, citizens are advised to be extra vigilant and take measures as follows:

“Avoid political processions and protests, rallies or marches

“Avoid crowded areas and large gatherings
