BREAKING: NJC recommends Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as CJN
The National Judicial Council has put forward Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the recommended candidate for the next Chief Justice of Nigeria.
This recommendation came out of an impromptu closed-door meeting, originally scheduled for Friday but moved to Thursday in Abuja, EKO HOT BLOG reports.

In the same meeting, the NJC recommended 27 individuals for appointments as state high court judges. The meeting is still in progress.
The current Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, is set to retire on August 22, having reached the mandatory retirement age of 70.
