EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Nigeria Labour Congress leadership has instructed workers to stage protests at all Central Bank of Nigeria offices throughout the country starting next week over the current scarcity of Naira.
Joe Ajaero, the NLC President gave the directive on Wednesday at an ongoing press briefing at the Labour House in Abuja.
He said the directive became imperative following the expiration of a one-week ultimatum given to the apex bank to make cash available for Nigerians.
The protests aim to draw attention to the scarcity of Naira and urge the Central Bank to take action to alleviate the situation.
