BREAKING: NLC Instructs Workers To Stage Protests At CBN Offices Over Naira Scarcity

  • The NLC has directed workers to organize demonstrations at the CBN premises nationwide.

  • The directive comes following the continued scarcity of Naira in the country.

  • The President of the NLC, Joe Ajaero, issued the instruction on Wednesday in Abuja.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Nigeria Labour Congress leadership has instructed workers to stage protests at all Central Bank of Nigeria offices throughout the country starting next week over the current scarcity of Naira.

Joe Ajaero, the NLC President gave the directive on Wednesday at an ongoing press briefing at the Labour House in Abuja.

He said the directive became imperative following the expiration of a one-week ultimatum given to the apex bank to make cash available for Nigerians.
