The five-day warning strike was organised to protest against the administration of Governor Nasir El-Rufai over the mass sack of workers in the state.
The industrial action and protest by the NLC had plunged the state into an unusual crisis as the state government and the Labour Union engaged in a face-off.
EKO HOT BLOG reported that the protest turned violent on Tuesday when thugs believed to be supporters of the state government hijacked the activities of the NLC.
