BREAKING: Ondo Governor, Aiyedatiwa Names Deputy
Eko Hot Blog reports that reports that the governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has named Chief Olayide Adelami as his Deputy Governor.
Olayide who hails from Owo, Owo local government area of the state is a kinsman of late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
He retired as Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly in April 2018.
Adelami was an APC governorship aspirant in 2020 but stepped down for the late Akeredolu.
He was first enlisted into the Federal Civil Service as an Accountant II in December 1983 and later posted to resume to the Treasury Department of the Accountant General of the Federation office.
Recall that the Governor earlier dissolved the State Executive Council, with immediate effect.
According to a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, all members of the Cabinet are to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.
Also, all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) are relieved of their duties, with immediate effect.
All the affected officials are directed to hand over all government properties in their possession.
The Governor appreciates the affected officials for their services and contributions to the development of the State.
