EDITOR’S PICK:
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, has won the Ekiti governorship election. He polled a total of 187,057 votes. In the election held on Saturday, Oyebanji won 14 of the 16 local government districts.
Segun Adebayo Oni of the Social Democratic Party, his closest challenger, received 82,211 votes. In the Moba local government area, Oni came out on top.
Mr. Bisi Kolawole of the Peoples Democratic Party came in third place with 67,457 votes. In the Efon local government area, he was elected.
