EKO HOT BLOG reports that the terrorists encircled a number of communities in Kontagora local government area of Niger State after Kamapani Waya on Thursday.

A source who was on the way to Kontagora from Minna in a public transport, had to turn back after leaving Kampani Waya.

Some vehicles warned by the residents alerted the driver of the bandit activity.

They had to go back to Kampani Waya and spend around 40 minutes there.

Some of the people were pushing the women and children to go and hide while others appeared to be on high alert. Some cows were being removed in order to be hidden.

To prevent being caught in the crossfire, all moving vehicles leaving Minna had to stop.

However, the route has been mobilized with military forces.

The source saw some of the military troops some distance after the Kamapani Waya as they directed motorists.

Some soldiers entered the communities to engage the terrorists.
