BREAKING: PDP Leads Edo Guber Race, Wins Four of Six Announced LGAs

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has secured victories in four out of six Local Government Areas (LGAs) based on results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.

These results, announced under the supervision of the Returning Officer, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, show PDP candidate Asue Ighodalo leading in several areas.

Ighodalo won in Esan South East with 14,199 votes, Ovia North East (15,311 votes), Uhunmwonde (9,339 votes), and Igueben (8,470 votes).

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, secured wins in Esan West and Owan West LGAs with 12,952 and 12,277 votes, respectively.

  • PDP: 14,199

Ovia North East LGA:

  • APC: 13,225
  • LP: 1,675
  • PDP: 15,311

Uhunmwonde LGA:

  • APC: 8,776
  • LP: 767
  • PDP: 9,339

Owan West LGA:

  • APC: 12,277
  • LP: 201
  • PDP: 11,284

Igueben LGA:

  • APC: 5,907
  • LP: 494
  • PDP: 8,470

As results continue to be uploaded, the race for the governorship is shaping up to be a close contest between the APC and PDP.
