BREAKING: PDP, LP Demand Fresh Elections, Ask Yakubu To Step Down As INEC Chair

  • The PDP, LP and ADP have demanded a fresh election.

  • The parties have asked Mahmood Yakubu, the head of the INEC to resign.

  • They alleged that the electoral body has compromised the entire process.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Labour Party (LP), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Party, have asked Yakubu Mahmood to resign as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The parties also demanded that the presidential election be conducted afresh.

This was disclosed in a joint press conference on Tuesday, the three parties claimed that fraud, intimidation, and violence disrupted the presidential election in February 2023.
