BREAKING: Police Arrest IPOB Members In Abuja
- The IPOB members were chanting solidarity songs and addressing journalists.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that policemen, on Monday, arrested members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who had gathered close to the premises of the Federal High Court in Abuja following the trial of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
The IPOB members had gathered by the side of the road after failed attempts to enter the court premises.
They were chanting solidarity songs and addressing journalists before a police officer asking them to leave where they had converged.

A video from the scene on social media showed that when the IPOB members proved adamant, the police officer tried to arrest one of them as he brought out his gun and threatened to shoot while chasing him.
Another video from the scene showed some arrested IPOB members inside police vans stationed beside the Federal High Court in Abuja which was heavily guarded by security operatives on Monday.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nnamdi Kanu, who was earlier extradited into Nigeria from a foreign country, is facing terrorism-related charges before Justice Binta Nyako.
