The police, along with other security agencies, were said to have secured the release of the two abductees, a driver and a commuter, who were kidnapped on Saturday along the Ibadan/Akure route.

One survivor was released in the early hours of Monday, while the other was released on Tuesday morning, according to the DAILY POST.
The abductees were released as a result of pressure applied by the police and other security agencies to the abductors, according to the police, who also said that “no money was paid” as ransom.
