BREAKING: Police Council Confirms Usman Baba As IGP

• The Police Council has confirmed Usman Baba as the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Police Council has confirmed the appointment of Usman Baba as the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

Baba was confirmed as the IGP at a meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa on Friday.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the latest development was confirmed by the Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi, at the end of the meeting, saying the IGP was unanimously confirmed.

Recall that President Buhari, on April 6, appointed Usman Baba as acting IGP.

Baba was a Deputy Inspector General of Police before his appointment by the President.
