The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPRRA) has on Friday deleted an earlier published template announcing that the new price of petrol has reached N212.6 per litre.
This is coming after the increment which was announced via the website of the agency was greeted with public outrage on Friday.
Also, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) insisted that there was no increment in the ex-depot price of petrol.
The ex-depot price is the price at which the product is sold by the NNPC to marketers at the depots.
The deleted template, which was still visible on the PPPRA’s website as of 9am on Friday, is now showing ‘Page not found 404’ as of the time of filing this report.
