BREAKING: President Buhari Makes Fresh Appointment
- President Buhari has made a fresh appointment.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf as the acting Chief Judge of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on the recommendation of the National Judicial Council (NJC).
The appointment of the acting Chief Judge of the FCT High Court by President Buhari was made known via a statement by the Director of Information, Soji Oye, on Saturday.
The statement was titled, ‘Press Release’.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Oye stated that “The acting appointment takes effect from 1 August 2021.

“Hon Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf will be sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Council, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, CFR, on Monday, August 16, 2021, by 10am at the Supreme Court of Nigeria,” he noted.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the latest development is the first appointment to be made by President Buhari after his return from the United Kingdom.
Recalls that President Buhari returned to Abuja on Friday (yesterday) after a two-week stay in London.
President Buhari had departed Nigeria for the United Kingdom on July 26, 2021, to see his doctors and participate in the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education 2021-2025.
