BREAKING: President Buhari Meets Ayade, Bello In Aso Rock
  • President Buhari has met with the Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.

President Muhammadu Buhari has met with the Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade, and his counterpart from Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, EKO HOT BLOG has gathered.

This was disclosed by the Personal Assistant to President Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday.

Bashir wrote, “President @MBuhari has separately met with Governors of Cross River and Kogi States, H.E. Ben Ayade and H.E. Yahaya Bello, this afternoon at the State House, Abuja.

“Gov. Ayade has recently decamped to the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).”

Recall that Ayade had recently decamped from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Ayade, last Thursday, announced his decision after a closed-door meeting with six APC governors that lasted over an hour at the executive chamber of the governor’s office in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.
