Eko Hot Blog reports that Zacch Adedeji, special adviser to President Bola Tinubu on revenue, has been appointed acting chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
Adedeji, who was 33 when he was finance commissioner for former governor Abiola, will fill the role left vacant by the retirement of outgoing chairman Mohammed Nami, whose term ends in December 2023.
Adedeji is a chartered accountant from Iwo-Ate in Ogo-Oluwa local government of Oyo state. He recently received his doctorate degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
