EKOHOTBLOG reports that the Onijan of Ijan Ekiti in Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Oba Samuel Oyewole Fadahunsi, has joined his ancestors.
It was gathered that the prominent traditional ruler passed away on Thursday after reigning for 19 years.
Sources in the Ekiti community, on Friday, disclosed that the demise of the monarch was announced by kingmakers, adding that traditional rites have commenced immediately.
EKOHOTBLOG gathered that the community has begun the cutting of trees, indicating the passing away of the traditional ruler.

EKOHOTBLOG reports Oba Fadahunsi, from Otutubiosun ruling house, was enthroned on September 22, 2002, during the regime of Otunba Niyi Adebayo.
The late monarch received his staff of office in April 2003 from the former governor.
Oba Fadahunsi succeeded the late Oba Adeyemo Obarinde who died on February 14, 2000, after reigning for 48 years.
