Heavy protest rocked Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Wednesday as scores of supporters of Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo popularly known as Sunday Igboho, took to the streets to protest last Thursday’s midnight raid by the operatives Department of State Services (DSS) on the residence of the Yoruba Nation agitator.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the protesters gathered in front of Igboho’s house in the Soka area of Ibadan from where they took to the streets around 12 noon on Wednesday.
The protesters were heard chanting solidarity phrases some of which include “No retreat, no surrender!”, “Oodua Nation!”, “Sunday Igboho is not a criminal!” amongst others.
Scores of the protesters were also seen with various placards displaying similar phrases.
A leader of the protesting youths, whose name could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, addressed the demonstrators before they took off.
The leader of the protesters said they would march to the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji; and from there proceed to the Government House, among other places in the metropolis.
EKO HOT BLOG had earlier reported that the operatives of the DSS invaded the residence of the Yoruba Nation agitator around 1am last Thursday.

Though Sunday Igboho had escaped the raid by the security operatives, his house and cars were riddled with bullets while bloodstains splattered over the floors of the residence.
While confirming the raid, the DSS stated that its operatives killed two of Igboho’s associates in a gun battle while no fewer than thirteen of his close associates were paraded in Abuja on Thursday evening.
