EKO HOT BLOG reports that a student of the Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya in Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has been shot dead.
It was gathered that the student had in the early hours of Monday joined his colleagues who were protesting against the hike in school fees in the state.
It was, however, learnt that the student was shot dead when security operatives made attempt to disperse the protesting students forcefully.

One of the protesters, who declined to be named, said the students came out to protest over the increase of school fees in the state-owned institution when they met security operatives outside the college.
