BREAKING: Remains Of Chief Of Army Staff, Others Airlifted To Abuja
- The remains of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, and others who died in a plane crash on Friday have been airlifted from Kaduna to Abuja.
- A military source confirmed that the remains of the COAS and others have left the NAF base for Abuja where they will be buried.
The remains of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, and others who died in a plane crash on Friday have been airlifted from the Nigeria Air Force base in Kaduna to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
EKO HOT BLOG had earlier reported that the aircraft crash claimed the lives of eleven people on board including the newly-appointed Chief of Army Staff.
A military convoy conveying the remains of the deceased from the 44 Nigerian Army Referral Hospital, Kaduna to the Nigeria Air Force base in the Mando area of the state was earlier sighted on Saturday.

A military source further confirmed that the remains of the COAS and others have left the NAF base for Abuja where they will be buried.
The Nigerian Army had earlier announced that the burial proceedings of the officers who lost their lives in the aircraft crash at the Kaduna International Airport will hold later on Saturday.
