Popular Yoruba Actress, Folake Aremu, better known known as Orisabunmi, has passed away.
President of the Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr Latin, confirmed her demise on Wednesday.
According to him, she died on Tuesday night at the age of 60.
He, however, didn’t give details of the circumstances surrounding her death.
Ekohotblog reports that Orisabunmi came to limelight in the 80s for her remarkable roles as a priestess, pacifist or the good witch in movies and her sterling pperformance in popular TV series at the time, Arelu, starring her husband and others like Fadeyi Oloro
Born on October 10, 1960, in Ilu Ola, Kwara state, Orisabunmi went to Ilu Ola Primary School and Secondary Commercial College.
She never attended university and she was discovered by her ex-husband, Jimoh Aliu in the 80s while working as a teacher in Kwara state.
