BREAKING: Senate Shifts Tinubu’s Ministerial List Unveiling, Gives New Date
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Senate has postponed the presentation of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial list earlier scheduled for Tuesday, July 25, to Wednesday, July 26.
According to reports, it was pushed back on the order paper after Senator Bamidele Opeyemi, the majority leader, moved the motion to postpone the announcement without reason during the Senate plenary.
The motion was seconded by Senator Simon Davou Mwadkwon, the minority leader, to postpone the announcement until Wednesday’s legislative session.
It would be recalled that President Bola Tinubu had sent the list of his ministerial nominees to the Senate for announcement by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.
The Clerk of the National Assembly, Magaji Tambuwal, received the letter containing the list on Tuesday, July 18.
Nigerians have speculated about the list, especially as the 60-day deadline for the President to send the list draws nearer.
