BREAKING: Soldiers Allegedly Attack Sunday Igboho’s Residence

Sporadic gunshots were said to have rented the atmosphere in the early hours of Thursday following an alleged attack of the residence of popular Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo fondly known as Sunday Igboho, by soldiers.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the alleged invasion of Igboho’s residence in the Soka area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, by the soldiers occurred around 2am on Thursday.

Igboho’s spokesperson, Olayinka Koiki, made the alleged attack known via his official Facebook page, Koiki Media.

He posted with the caption, ‘Chief Sunday Igboho’s house under military attack’.

Speaking further via a Facebook Live chat, Koiki stated, “I can confirm that those who came are definitely Nigerian soldiers. There are more than 100 soldiers that came.”

The spokesman added that “the situation is very active as more security operatives in about seven Nigerian Army patrol vans have arrived.”

“He (Sunday Igboho) is currently safe,” Koiki said.

The Nigerian Army has not reacted to the alleged invasion as of the time of writing this report.

Also, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, when contacted, said he also heard about the invasion, adding that he would find out to know what happened.
