Southern Governors have agreed that the Southern region should produce the next president of the country.
EKO HOT BLOG gathered that the latest development was part of the decisions the Southern Governors reached at the meeting held in Lagos on Monday.
It was further learnt that during the meeting, the governors also deliberated on insecurity, constitutional amendment, PIB, and anti-open grazing law in all member-states.
Earlier, EKO HOT BLOG reported that the Southern Governors converged at Alausa, Ikeja, the venue of their meeting on the state of the nation.
The latest meeting was held eight weeks after the governors met in Asaba, the Delta State capital, on May 11, 2021.
Aside from the host governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, others at the meeting include Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Emmanuel Udom (Akwa Ibom), Diri Duoye (Bayelsa), Willie Obiano (Anambra), Ben Ayade (Cross Rivers).
Others are Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), David Umahi (Ebonyi), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Adegboyega Oyetola (Osun), Oluwaseyi Makinde (Oyo), and Nyesom Wike (Rivers).
