At the expiration of the quit notice to fulani herdsmen, popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has arrived in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State.

In a video making the rounds on social media, Sunday Igboho addressing the youths and other supporters, said, ” What is happening will not be limited to this place, we will drive out Fulani from entire Yorubaland. They want to be killing us. We will not accept this.”

EKO HOT BLOG gathered before Sunday Igboho’s arrival, some youths were seen making bonfires on the streets.

The monarchs had protested they were helpless about incessant killings and kidnappings.

However, the Oyo State Government condemned the quit notice.

The state Governor, Seyi Makinde had earlier warned against eviction of any ethic group and vowed to deal with troublemakers.

According to reports there was palpable tension in Igangan and other parts of the Ibarapa area of Oyo State on Friday morning as the quit notice given to herdsmen in the area expires today.

Frustrated by the incessant killings, kidnappings, and destruction of farms allegedly being carried out by herdsmen in Ibarapaland, Igboho last Friday stormed the Fulani settlements in in Igangan, Ibarapa North Local Government Area and asked them to leave within seven days.

Igboho accused the Fulani community in the area of masterminding abductions, killings, and other criminal activities in the area.
