BREAKING: Suspected IPOB Members Set Another Police Station Ablaze, Kill Officers

Two police officers have been reportedly killed following an attack on another police station by unknown gunmen suspected to be members of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) in Abia State.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered the IPOB militants during the attack in the early hours of Monday razed the Apumiri Ubakala Police Station in Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State.

The police station attacked by the militants is situated within the popular Ubakala market.

A police source disclosed that the police command received intelligence of an impending attack and was advised to either close down the station or beef up security but none of this was done before the incident on Monday.

The latest attack is coming a few days after the Bende Police Station in Abia State was razed by unknown gunmen.

The incident occurred shortly after an attack on Uzuakoli Police Station in the state.

During the attack, dynamite and rocket launcher were used by the assailants to burn down the police station.
