Treasurer of the Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, Rebecca Ajose, is dead.
As gathered by Eko Hot Blog, Rebecca died on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in Raleigh, North Carolina, after a debilitating battle with an undisclosed ailment.
Her demise was announced on the Eko Club International platform by her friend, Princess Shola Hasstrup who wrote; “Good Night, my darling sister, friend, gist partner, prayer warrior, Olasunbo Rebecca Ajose.”
Until her death, Rebecca was a member of the North Carolina chapter of Eko Club International, the apex socio-cultural hub for Lagosians in the Diaspora.
She was also a Board member Eko Club International in USA, Canada & Europe.
Members of the club, who have been left devastated following the premature demise of one of their own, have described Rebecca’s demise as an irreparable loss.
Lanre Ojo, President of Eko Club international, described her death as a traumatic and crushing loss.

An Emeritus President of the club, Attorney OJ Lawal, said Rebecca’s death echoes like the ill-omened sun which tragically chose to roost at noonday.
Otunba TJ Abass, Publisher of Eko Hot Blog and also a former president of the club, said Rebecca’s demise was beyond gut-wrenching and hurtful, and prayed for her family and friends to find the solace and comfort to weather the irremediable loss.
Another Emeritus President, Hon Bissy Gaji, who was confounded beyond words, described her passage as a “piercing bolt from the blue.”
Alhaji Zainudeen Popoola, another former president, said Rebecca’s death is a personal loss to him. He described her as a model Lagosian who has left indelible marks on the sands of time.
