The petitioners Alleged that there were widespread irregularities and malpractices in the election, which they said affected the outcome of the election.
The Tribunal in May merged the petitions submitted by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party. The tribunal also reserved judgment on the petitions.
It would be recalled that the court had last week denied that it had fixed September 16 for the judgment as widely speculated.
