  • FG has given update and announced new directive as the Ukraine-Russia crisis worsen.

  • The FG directed Nigerians leaving Ukraine to make use of the Hungarian and Romanian borders.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Federal Government has given fresh update and directed Nigerians leaving Ukraine to make use of the Hungarian and Romanian borders.

In a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Nigeria’s Ministry Of Foreign Affairs, Gabriel Aduda, the ministry said it was aware of the challenges that Nigerians were facing at the Polish borders and advised us of the new borders.

Hungary and Romania have approved visa-free entry for Nigerians and will provide accommodation and feeding before evacuation is arranged.

Recall that the Federal Government had earlier directed Nigerians fleeing Ukraine to four Polish borders for their safety.

Some officials at the Nigerian Embassy in Poland, Warsaw, confirmed that over 100 Nigerians had crossed into the Polish border.
