Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a village head and his wife in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, EKO HOT BLOG has gathered.
It was gathered that the village head and his wife were abducted by the gunmen on Tuesday night.
The kidnappers were said to have stormed Araromi village in the Bakatari area of Ibadan and took the head of Araromi village, Chief Tafa Apanpa, and his wife away.
Bakatari, a border town between Oyo and Ogun states, is located along the Ibadan-Abeokuta Road.
Sources, however, disclosed that the whereabouts of the duo were still unknown as of the time of writing this report on Wednesday.

“It is true, the Baale has been kidnapped,” a villager, who pleaded not to be named, said.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the incident was confirmed by the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, noting that efforts have been put in place to secure the release of the victims.
“The incident happened very late on Tuesday, 22nd of June, 2021 at Araromi village.
“Efforts are on top gear to rescue both victims and as well apprehend the abductors,” the police spokesperson said.
