EKO HOT BLOG reports that sporadic gunshots have been recorded in Esut Agbani, Nkanu West Local Government Area (LGA) of Enugu State, southeast Nigeria.
Some unknown gunmen were sighted enforcing a sit-at-home order the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) insists it has called off since last year (2021).
Sources close to the area said the heavy gunshots started at about 8:00 am on Monday.
There were also reports of disruptions of vehicular movement at Topland, Amechi Road, NOWAS, IMT and Shoprite area, as well as Enugu South LGA of Enugu State due to sporadic gunshots.
Gunshots were also heard around Ogbete, Naira Triangle and Thinkers Corner.

As of the time of this report, men of the Nigerian Army are confronting the hoodlums.
Efforts by this reporter to reach the Nigerian Army spokesperson, Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, failed.
