Brothers In Court For Assaulting LASTMA Official
Two brothers, Ochuko Abuwa, 38, and Oniyemofe Abuwa, 30, were on Monday arraigned at a Surulere Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly assaulting a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) official.
The defendants, of no fixed addresses, were charged with conspiracy, assault, damage to property and breach of public peace, Nation news reports.
Prosecuting Inspector Christopher Okoliko told the court that the defendants committed the offences on January 27 at Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, Lagos.
He alleged that the defendants beat up Mr. Oluwarotimi Disu, a LASTMA official.

The prosecutor alleged that the duo tore Disu’s uniform and beret as well as stirred up an uproar that caused a breach of public peace.
Okoliko said the offences contravened sections 168, 172, 350 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The brothers pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Mrs. Bola Folarin-Williams granted the brothers N100, 000 bail each with two sureties each in the like sum.
She said the sureties should be employed and show evidence of their tax payment to the Lagos State Government.
The case was adjourned till February 25.
