The new appointees and their respective states of origin are Mahmud Kambari (Borno State), Esuabana Nko-Asanye (Cross River), Lamuwa Ibrahim (Gombe), Yakubu Kofar-Mata (Kano), Oloruntola Michael (Ogun), and Richard Pheelangwah (Taraba State).
During the ceremony, Femi Adesina, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, read the citation of the new officers.
“Mr President, six persons have fulfilled the conditions as permanent secretaries after a selection exercise recently conducted for directors,” he said.
He also stated that the event marked the culmination of a weeks-long prequalification exercise for directors by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation.
It is noteworthy that the President approved the appointments of these six permanent secretaries in the Federal Civil Service barely a month ago, on March 29, 2023.
The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan, announced the approval, stating that it followed a recently conducted selection process.
