President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed pofessor Habu Shaibu Galadima as the new director-general of National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS). The appointment came three and a half years after the institute had been without substantive leadership.
The new DG was a former director of studies of the institute. He took over from Mr Jonathan Mela Juma who has been in acting capacity for the past three and a half years.
Speaking during the handing over, Galadima commended the acting director-general for maintaining the ideals of the elite institute and for his positive contributions to its growth. He assured that the institute, under his leadership, would be taken to the next level as one of the best think-tank institutions in Africa
