Buhari Arrives South Africa For A Three-day State Visit

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived South Africa for a three-day visit.

The pictures from the arrival revealed that Buhari was received by South Africa presidential emissaries.

The presidency made this known on Wednesday via its twitter handle ‘@Nigeriagov’.

The purpose of the state visit was yet to be disclosed. However, the presidency said “highlights will include a Town Hall Meeting with the Nigerian Community; a Meeting of the South Africa/Nigeria Bi-National Commission; and a Nigeria—SA Business Forum.”

There are also indications that the recent xenophobia attacks against Nigerians living in South Africa will top the discussion on the agenda.

Anonymous source from within the presidency also revealed that the suspended evacuation of Nigerians living in South Africa who were victims of the recent xenophobia attack will also be top on the discussion agenda during the Buhari’s state visit to South Africa.

President Buhari is expected back in Nigeria on Friday.
