President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday signed the 2021 budget and the finance bill into law ten days after it was passed by the National Assembly.
The National Assembly had transmitted the passed ₦13.5trn budget to President Buhari for assent on Monday.
Eko Hot Blog reported that the President presented the proposed 2021 budget to a joint session of the National Assembly on October 8.

Meanwhile, the legislators, while approving the proposed on December 21, raised the estimate of ₦13.082 trillion by an additional ₦505 trillion.
Tagged the budget of economic recovery and resilience, the President said it is critical for the legacy of his administration in ensuring security, economic growth, and implementing health and emergency measures to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
