EKO HOT BLOG reports that President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday honoured the former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, and 43 other prominent Nigerians with service awards.
The event held at the Conference room of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The event saw the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and 15 other governors, the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and service chiefs honoured with various awards for their services.
Nigeria Excellence Award in Public Service was set up to recognise distinguished public service to Nigeria, either contributions to individuals, state or local community, or the public through excellence in leadership, service, or humanitarianism.
People who are eligible for the award must be living Public Officials or private citizens excelling consistently in a given sphere of influence, in good character standing, and must also be at the forefront of service and innovation.
President Muhammadu Buhari last Tuesday conferred some Nigerian citizens and foreigners with national honours.
This online media platform gathered that the event was held at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Abuja. This followed the release of the final list of persons proposed for various distinguished honours.
