“Buhari Is Not Welcome In Imo State”- IPOB
- The new directive was made known in a broadcast on Monday evening by IPOB-HDOS, Mazi Chika Edoziem.
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have reportedly declared that residents sit-at-home on Thursday, September 9, 2021 in Imo State.
This order is coming in light of President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Imo state on September 9.
The new directive was made known in a broadcast on Monday evening by IPOB-HDOS, Mazi Chika Edoziem.
The proscribed pro-Biafra group stated that Buhari is not “welcomed into Imo State, Biafra Land on Thursday, 9th September 2021.”
According to him, “all the traditional rulers, all ndi iche and every Biafran should stay away from any ceremony organized by Hope Uzodimma to welcome him.”
He declared total lockdown of Biafra on that day, Thursday 9th September 2021.
Recall that Governor Hope Uzodinma had on Saturday told newsmen that Buhari would be in the state on Thursday to commission some projects.
The governor said Buhari will be visiting the state to commission some “significant projects” executed by his administration.
He said: “While in Abuja, I secured approval for President Muhammadu Buhari to visit Imo on Thursday, Sept. 9, to commission some significant projects put together by the Shared Prosperity Administration.
