Nigerians have been struggling to access fuel and the redesigned naira notes for several weeks.
The situations have persisted despite numerous promises by the federal government to sort them out.
The president’s meeting with governors from his party may be connected to the crises.
Eko Hot Blog reports that President Muhammadu Buhari is in a closed-door meeting with the governors of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) under the aegis of the Progressive Governors’ Forum.
The meeting is holding in the Council Chamber of the State House, Abuja.
It was gathered that it started a few minutes past 10:00am
Present are governors of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai; Imo State, Hope Uzodimma; Zamfara State, Bello Matawale; Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu; Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi; Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun.
Others are governors of Yobe State, Mai Bala-Buni; Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje; Niger State, Sani Bello and Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
Although the agenda of the meeting is largely unknown, it might be connected with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) cash swap policy that has affected millions of Nigerians trying to access cash.
